The LGU officials and employees participated in the Foot Parade, Opening Program, and Agri-Fishery and Tourism Trade Fair held today, June 15, 2024, in Tandag City.

A wreath-laying ceremony was held on June 12, 2024, at the Municipal Hall Grounds to celebrate the 126th Philippine Independence Day.

The ceremony demonstrated our unyielding dedication to our country and its profound heritage. It was also a heartfelt tribute to the courageous individuals who bravely fought for our freedom.

Municipal and barangay officials, led by Mayor Apolonio B. Lozada and Vice Mayor Maria Clarita G. Limbaro, as well as heads of offices, LGU employees, and partner agencies, were in attendance.

With great honor and pride, we extend our warmest congratulations to our esteemed compatriot and Bayabasnon, 2nd Lieutenant Jack Russell Lamela Ligutan, a distinguished graduate of the Philippine Military Academy Bagong Sinag Class of 2024.

During the flag-raising ceremony on June 3, 2024, 2LT Ligutan was presented with Resolution No. 66 series of 2024, commending him for being this municipality’s first PMA graduate and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Silvestre and Evelyn Ligutan, for this noteworthy achievement.

In response and as a gesture of courtesy, 2LT Ligutan politely handed over a set of his uniforms to LGU Bayabas in the presence of LGU Bayabas officials and employees, led by Mayor Apolonio B. Lozada.

Mayor Apolonio B. Lozada attended the Blessing and Turnover Ceremony of 20 units of newly issued Patrol Jeeps (Toyota Hilux) and one unit of Personnel Carrier (Mitsubishi Strada), earlier today at PNP Headquarters PRO 13 Grandstand, Camp Col Rafael C. Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City.

The Municipality of Bayabas would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Chief Benjamin C. Acorda, Jr. of the Philippine National Police, Police Brigadier General Kirby John B. Kraft, PNP Regional Director for Caraga, Police Major General Mario A. Reyes, the Director for Logistics, who was also the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the ceremony, and Police Captain Ralph Alexis O. Avenido, Chief Bayabas Municipal Police Station, for their outstanding commitment and exemplary leadership.

We also want to acknowledge and express our gratitude to Congressman Romeo S. Momo Sr. of Surigao del Sur 1st District for his invaluable support in facilitating the prompt release of One Unit Personnel Carrier/Patrol Car (Mitsubishi Strada) for the Municipality of Bayabas.
