MR. MANUEL L. PARLUCHA, 102 years old, a resident of Brgy. Lapaz, Bayabas, Surigao del Sur, received a cash gift from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and a Letter of Felicitation from the President of the Philippines congratulating him for his longevity during the Centenarian Awarding Ceremony on September 11, 2023. The said cash gift and letter are part of the Centenarian Award in accordance with the Centenarian Act of 2016 (Republic Act 10868), otherwise known as “An Act Honoring and Granting Additional Benefits and Privileges to Filipino Centenarians, and for Other Purposes”. He was also granted a financial assistance from the Local Government Unit of Bayabas and Resolution No. 99 Series of 2023 entitled: Resolution conveying heartfelt felicitations to Mr. Manuel Luage Parlucha for his exceptional fate of reaching 102 years of age and who is now one of the two centenarians of the Municipality of Bayabas, Surigao del Sur. Moreover, Mr. Parlucha was presented with the same award by the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur, along with a cash gift, on February 2, 2024.
