The Municipality of Bayabas officially inaugurated and blessed its newly constructed Coastal Resource Management (๐๐๐) Office in Barangay Magobawok, Bayabas, Surigao del Sur.
The CRM Building is one of the significant projects funded through the โฑ30 Million prize awarded by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to the Municipality of Bayabas as the 2022 Grand Champion of the Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK) National Search.
The momentous activity was graced by ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐๐จ๐ณ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐-๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ๐จ, ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐ง, ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐จ๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฌ, ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฌ, ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ค๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ, and ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ.
The municipality was also honored by the presence of ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐จ, OIC of the Provincial Fishery and Aquatic Resources Office, Tandag City, who served as the Guest of Honor.
The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass presided over by ๐๐๐ฏ. ๐ ๐ซ. ๐๐ซ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ ๐. ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ฌ, SIDL Parish Priest, followed by a short program featuring a series of messages from the municipal officials and guests.
In his message, ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐๐จ๐ณ๐๐๐ emphasized that the new CRM Office will serve as an important facility in strengthening the municipalityโs programs and services for the protection, conservation, and sustainable management of its coastal and marine resources.
He further stressed that the building represents the municipalityโs continuing commitment to safeguarding its natural resourcesโnot only for the present generation but also for the future generations of Bayabas.
Meanwhile, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐๐๐จ, Municipal Agriculturist, shared that the new CRM Office will provide a venue for delivering more services and assistance to the municipalityโs fisherfolk and farmers. She further emphasized the Municipal Agriculture Officeโs commitment to providing quality services and promoting innovative practices to strengthen and advance local marine and fisheries initiatives.
